21 Day Fix: Day 5 Flex Friday!

Hello All!!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
I know I sure am! Day 5 was on Friday for the 21 Day Fix, and it has been going great so far!

The workout for Day 5 was Cardio Fix!
This may happen to be one of my favorite workouts of all time! I loved it, and I usually dislike cardio completely! It also so happened to be Flex Friday so I made my accountability picture a two for one! Definitely felt the burn after this one!

My food for the day was pretty good! I would probably rate it at about a 4 out of 5.
This was actually my lunch! I had a 1/2 scoop of chocolate shakeology and 1/2 scoop of strawberry shakeology (1 Red), Water, and a Banana (1 purple)! 

Strawberry Shakeology is the newest of shakeology flavors that has been released by Beachbody! I decided to get the combo pack to test it out, which has chocolate, vanilla and strawberry packets in it. They call it the Neo pack, clever right? 

I actually really enjoy the taste and texture of the strawberry flavor. I did not like the tropical strawberry texture so I was a little curious as to how the new flavor would stand up. It has a great flavor and when mixed with Almond milk it taste like strawberry milk from when I was a kid only much healthier for you! And when you mix chocolate and strawberry like I did it tastes like chocolate covered strawberries! So GOOD!!

This was actually my breakfast, as I wasn't feeling well I decided to have some Orange Juice (1 yellow) which is allowed in moderation in the Fix! And of course I had a banana (1 purple)! As you can tell by now, I have a lot of bananas. That is because I am anemic and need to increase my iron intake. I would rather do it the natural way than take supplements for it. So I just eat more bananas! 

Day 5 was a very busy evening so I actually did not cook anything. But fear not you are still allowed to have pizza! You can have 1/4 of a 12'' cheese pizza. And other types as well! It counts as a yellow and an orange container! I also put Franks Red Hot sauce on my pizza because I love hot and spicy foods, and the hot sauce is a free food! So while I probably could've eaten something slightly healthier, I still followed my plan and went by my containers!

21 Day Fix: Day 4 On The GO!

Hello, Everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying yourselves and enjoying the Olympics!

Day 4 was a great day for me with the 21 Day Fix on Thursday! But it was also a day full of errands and things to do so it was a day ON THE GO!

I was a little skeptical has to how I was going to be able to pull off my meals for the 21 Day Fix and still be able to be out of the house!
I do my workout first thing every morning so that I can't create any excuses for myself later in the day! Today's workout was Pilates Fix. I have never done Pilates before the fix but was presently surprised at how much of a workout it was! I truly felt a great burn but also a really good stretch as I was feeling really sore.

For my food for the day I had to pack a few things to take with me.

Breakfast went into the shakeology shaker cup that came with the Fix! It is a scoop of Chocolate Shakeology (1 red), a Banana (1 purple), Peanut Butter (Teaspoon) and Water! It is so convenient to be able to take the shaker cup with you and it fits right in the cup holder in the car!

Next I pack a snack: 
It is Bananas (1 purple) and Peanut Butter (Teaspoon). I used the purple container, since I had already measured out the bananas in it and just put my little bit of peanut butter in with them. The lid fits on perfectly and it easy to throw into my purse for the day!

Next I had to pack up my lunch!
For lunch I had a salad! I put everything together into a little bit bigger tubberware bowl. I had Lettuce (1 green), Tomato (1 green), Mozzarella Cheese (1 blue), and Turkey Slices (1 red). I put my salad dressing into the little orange container. I then put the orange container inside of the big bowl with my salad and put the top on and took it like that. When I was ready to eat it, I just poured the salad dressing on top and shook the container to mix it all together!

I am very comfortable in saying that the 21 Day Fix is definitely traveler friendly, and I will have more about this around the 18th day of the 21 Day Fix as we are planning a trip to see my in-laws!

21 Day Fix: Day 3!

Hello, Everyone!

Playing catch up after a busy week! 21 Day Fix has been going amazingly!! Day 3 was on Wednesday!
The workout for the day was Lower Fix. I have done a lot of leg days in my time, but this was by far the best! It is only a 30 minute workout, but it is a combination of leg exercises and using the weights. You definitely feel it the next day and even the day after that! It is a workout that keeps you going and doesn't lull really at all!

Now on to some of my food for the day!
This was my breakfast for Wednesday! Had to take a snack with me on the road that day as well! So the shake for the day was Chocolate Shakeology (1 red), Almond Milk (1 yellow), Peanut butter (1 teaspoon), and a Banana (1 purple)! In the little container for a snack was peanuts (1 orange). I love that I can take them on the go!
This was my snack of Day 3! This has by far become one of my favorite snacks! Between this and my shakeology it really helps with my sweet tooth that I tend to get sometimes! The strawberries (1 purple) and the teaspoon of dark chocolate chips (1 yellow) are a great combination and taste like chocolate covered strawberries if you eat them at the same time! 
This was my dinner for Day 3! Thankfully everyone in my house, just my husband, likes to eat fish so this wasn't much of a change for us for the 21 Day Fix! (Yes my husband is doing the fix with me, as best that he can). For dinner we had Pasta (1 yellow) with some EVOO (1 teaspoon) mixed on it! The Salmon (1 red) is cooked with EVOO (1 teaspoon) and some lemon seasoning. And the vegetables were measured with a green container even though the peas and corn are technically considered under yellows! Like I said sometimes we have to make some modifications in our house, but we still stick with our portion sizes! We have also been using smaller plates and bowls to make it seem like there is more on our plates! What a great trick!!

21 Day Fix: Day 2

Well yesterday, Tuesday, was day 2 for me of the new program the 21 Day Fix! And holy cow was it a GREAT one! I love the foods that I am eating and the soreness in my muscles feels great!
Day 2 workout wise was the Upper Fix, lots of weights used and my arms can definitely feel it!
Every day I post an accountability sweaty pic on Instagram, to show I am actually doing my workouts. I figured I could add them in here for all of you as well! My arms were shaking during this picture!! The workout was great, as Autumn goes between your light set of weights and your heavy set. At the moment I only have one set of weights but I also have a resistance band. I use the weights as my light set and the resistance band as my heavy! I still get a great workout and don't feel like I am missing out on anything! Honestly, my whole body feels sore from these two days! A GOOD sore!
This was my breakfast for Day 2! I love having my shakeology right after my workout as I'm usually really hungry and it helps me feel full while still getting the nutrients I need! Today was Chocolate shakeology (1 red), Banana (1 purple), Peanut butter (Teaspoon), and ice! I almost always blend my shakes unless I'm on the road! And you will see a lot of this cup! It is my favorite and was a gift from our new community when we moved it!
This was one of my snacks for Day 2. Don't worry! You get more than this, I just forgot to take my picture I was so hungry I started eating them! The portioned containers making it so easier to figure out how much you can eat, and it really forces you to plan what you are going to have for each meal!
This was my lunch for Day 2! Yes there is lettuce under there! I mixed it all together and it was really filling! It consisted of Lettuce (2 Greens), Tomato (1 Green), Turkey Slices (1 Red), Mozzarella Cheese (1 Blue), and EVOO (1 Teaspoon). I didn't think I would enjoy it very much, but its actually become my favorite lunch to make now and can easily be taken on the road!
This was snack number Two! It is an Apple (1 Purple), Peanuts (1 orange), and Dark Chocolate Chips (1 yellow). I love that I can still have a little chocolate on some days to satisfy my sweet tooth! This was a surprisingly good combination and one that I will definitely repeat!

For dinner, my husband and I went to this new restaurant down the street from us called Stone's Cove Kitbar. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, with a wheat wrap! It had lettuce and carrots on the inside with a little red wine vingearette! Everything that is allotted on the 21 Day Fix meal planning and I even got to watch them make it to ensure I wasn't cheating at all!

So far I feel as though the 21 Day Fix is becoming my new favorite workout routine!

21 Day Fix: Day 1

Well, yesterday I started the 21 Day fix, which is the new workout program just released by Beachbody with new celebrity trainer Autumn Calabrese!
The picture above shows you everything you get in a basic kit, along with another orange container I forgot to take out of the blue one! The containers seem small but they are actually quite a decent size. 

The idea behind the program is that you do the workouts following the schedule, there are 7 different workouts one for every day of the week. And you meal plan and portion control your meals according to how much you currently weigh and what your calorie intake should be. I took a few pictures of my different meals so that you could see what I ate on my first day.
This cup has shakeology (1 red), unsweetened almond milk (1 yellow) and a teaspoon of natural peanut butter (1 tsp). This was my breakfast! Quite filling actually and it followed the guidelines of the program.
This was one of my snacks for the day! It has strawberries (1 purple) and a teaspoon of dark chocolate chips (1 yellow). It was very good and a great treat, it makes you feel like you aren't eating healthy when you really are!
This was my dinner! Anniversary dinner so we had flank steak (1 Red), and Pasta (1 yellow), and Green beans (1 green). It was actually pretty filling and on the pasta I put 1/2 a teaspoon of EVOO!

I also did my first workout which was the Total Body Fix! And man does my total body feel it! Even though the workouts are only 30 minutes long you get a great workout in. However, it does seem to fly by! Unless you are doing Surrenders of course! Each move is only 60 seconds long, and as Autumn says "You can do anything for only 60 seconds!"

I took my measurements as well and some before pictures! Those of you who are actually reading this get a great advantage as this is the only place I am currently sharing my measurements and my pictures!

Yes I did slack off after my insanity transformation and that is why I am jumping in with two feet when it comes to the 21 Day Fix!!
 
I know that I need to work on this and give it all I've got if I want to actually lose the weight! I am still taking any one who wants to join me under my wing and we can do this together!

In the Coming of the Next Few Days!

We have some snow here today, so I hope everyone is safe wherever you are!
