My Favorite Kitchen Tool: The Hand Blender!

Happy Saturday Everyone!
For those of you that are football fans, are you getting excited for the Superbowl tomorrow?
I sure am!!

I just wanted to share with all of you something that truly made a difference in my life, in a GREAT way! It made my mornings so much easier and also my cooking sometimes!

For Christmas, my husband bought me a hand blender, see picture below! It was one of the few things I had asked for and I was so excited to get one! I had heard such great things about them and I just wanted to pass on the excitement!

He bought me the Cuisinart red hand blender, shown above! He got it off of Amazon.com very inexpensively! I have not heard any bad reviews on any types, this just happens to be the one that he bought!
Every morning, I make myself a Shakeology shake for breakfast and usually I used a full blender and would have to wash it every day.
These are the ingredients that I just happened to be using this morning, plus ice of course! Washing the blender every morning got to be very time consuming and something quite discouraging! It actually made me not want to have my healthy breakfast out of pure laziness. However, this new hand blender has made everything so much easier!
My hand blender even came with a beaker cup that I use for mixing and blending! I just put all of my ingredients in, liquid first then the powder then peanut butter and then ice! That is a pretty good order if you are making a shake or something of the sort as it blends together better!
After that, you put the blender into the beaker and start slowing pushing down while using the low setting! Once you hit the bottom, switch to the high speed to break everything up. I usually blend for about 30 seconds on high and it blends completely.
This is a picture of the finished product, completely blended perfectly! The clean up is so much easier, you can wash the beaker like normal cup and the hand blender can be rinsed and wiped off with warm water!

And just as an added bonus, I put it back in its box and it traveled with me to my in laws this weekend and worked perfectly and made everything so much simpler and I could still have my shakes!

Comment below if you need anything finding one or have any questions!

Have a great Superbowl Sunday everyone!

My Fitness Journey!

Hello Again Everyone!

Today I am going to talk about my fitness journey! My fitness journey is a lifestyle change and something that will continue for the rest of my life, not just a few days or until my program is over.

All my life I worried about my weight and what my stomach looks like in the clothes I was wearing. I played sports in high school and always enjoyed working out but I could never get rid of my stomach. I always buy pants that I can pull up over my stomach to make it look flatter, or I would suck in as much as I could for any picture that was being taken. I hated having my picture taken and I hated candid shots even more as I couldn't control the outcome.

That wasn't my only problem growing up. I used to eat when I was bored or had nothing else to do. I always thought I was actually hungry, but after working with Beachbody and their programs I realized I was severely overeating. I have learned portion control and what clean eating really means.

The first program I completely full was the Insanity program. The first month I only did the Insanity videos, and I honestly didn't see much of a result physically but I could feel a huge difference. I felt healthier and toner but I had only lost .5 lbs the entire month. I also still felt a little sluggish.

Then my Beachbody Coach told me about Shakeology, which is so much more than a meal replacement. It's everything you need in a cup! And it only costs $4 a day!! I also have learned how to make mine taste like a peanut butter cup, husband approved!

The second month of Insanity I drank Shakeology every day and did my workouts when I was supposed to. The second month my inches started to fall off and my stomach started to get smaller!! But those weren't the only results I saw during that second month! I also felt as though I had more energy, I slept better, and had fewer cravings! It was a win win!

Above is my Transformation picture from Insanity! I am 11 inches smaller, 19lbs lighter, and one cup size littler! Just from one round of Insanity!

I have started a new program and will posting more about that transformation as it gets going!

My journey has just begun and would love to have others join me!

Until Next Time.

Welcome!!

Hello, all!
I am so excited to start my first ever blog! This blog will be all about my health and fitness. I will post about different recipes that I am trying for clean eating, great workouts, new programs coming out, and also motivational or inspirational quotes!

I am pumped to start this and help others achieve their fitness goals and live and happier longer life!

Let me tell you a little about myself! I am 21 years old. I recently married the love of my life this past summer in June!

Soon after I started the biggest fitness journey of my life, one that I plan to have last a life time! (But I'll get to that a little later)

Before I married my husband, I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida! It was the best 2.5 years of my life working towards that degree and I plan to continue my studies this coming fall when I go to law school!

Now I am working my business Turbett Fitness, and helping people reach goals they never thought were attainable!

Stay Tuned for My Own Fitness Journey!
